Recent Alp Angel puppy Accomplishments

It goes without saying that we get excited over our puppies accomplishments. Whether it is in the conformation ring, in the backyard, in a training class, all new learning and success is exciting and we are grateful to our puppy homes for those enrichments. So many of our puppies are out there doing really cool stuff. I wanted to take a moment to highlight some of those achievements and express our gratitude to our puppy families.

Rachel Wagner who owns Alp Angel’s Burke CGC TKN has been out there doing some winning and gaining some titles since the summer. Burke who is 3 won Best of Breed at the UKC National Specialty which was hosted by the UKC parent club the National Bergamasco Sheepdog Alliance. In addition to that, she is one point away from her AKC Championship and she has been owner handled by Rachel. Burke also earned her Canine Good Citizen certificate and Trick Novice title a few months ago. We are so proud of Rachel and Burke.

Jessica Meade who has had three of our puppies over the years has been working with both her girls Freya and Lorelei. Freya is an accomplished AKC Champion and Westminster Kennel Club Best of Breed winner. She also has her Trick Novice, Rally Obedience Novice titles and has recently attained her Advanced Urban Canine Good Citizen certificate. Young Lorelei is now practicing for her first rally trial and has also earned her CGC. Lorelei has also been to a few shows since the summer and is finding her stride. We are so proud of all the work you do with your girls Jess!

CH Alp Angel’s Moppi CGC TKN RN HT is co-owned by Nadine Bertholet and myself. This boy is very special. Moppi seems to excel at anything he tries and we are so grateful that his family gives him the opportunity to try so many different things. Moppi came to stay with us and his handler Amanda Shea for a month this past summer. During that month, he achieved his AKC Championship over a couple of weekends. He started learning Rally Obedience in the fall and recently attended his first trial where he qualified both legs and also won a first place at the trial! In December I took Moppi to Orlando for the AKC National Championships where he won a best of breed owner handled and a best of opposite sex to his mother Faggia. In addition, Moppi has been taking herding lessons with Julie Degen in VA with Nadine as his handler for about a year. Last weekend he participated in his first herding test and qualified on both legs earning him a herding test title. I could not be prouder than of this dog! Thank you Nadine for all the wonderful sports you expose him to and the time you take to get the most out of your relationship with him. Below is a video of Moppi’s HT.
